Corporate parties are notoriously tricky to plan. With personal events, you would usually know every guest in attendance and can gauge their likes or dislikes. With a corporate event, people from all walks of life, with varying expectations and tastes, will be mixed together.

If this is the situation you find yourself in, we’ve got a few tips to help you plan and host a corporate party that everyone wants to attend. If you are planning an event in Bangkok, you should think about hiring a corporate event planner in Bangkok. They’ll be responsible for making sure everything runs smoothly, from start to finish. This will save you time and hassle, and maximize your chances of a successful party.

  1. Stick to a budget

The first port of call is to understand your budget as nothing can affect a party like financial issues. Start with an approved, realistic budget and get quotes for everything you will need. You could even make concessions along the way. For example, instead of hiring a pyrotechnics expert to put on a firework display, you could browse online for fireworks for sale and build your own show. A DJ could be replaced with a streaming playlist and a sound system, or you could limit the number of free drink tokens each guest receives.

  1. Consider your event goals

While it is important that every guest enjoys themselves and feels happy to be at your event, you should consider what the goal is. Are you hosting a product launch party and hoping to educate your workforce? Are you hosting a networking event and want to encourage cross-department communication? Or maybe you want to convey your brand’s staying power at an anniversary event?

  1. Plan on venues early

Booking a suitable venue can be difficult if you leave it until the last minute. Depending on the type of venue you need, start planning early and booking in advance, as the best ones are likely to get snatched up. Phone around as soon as possible, and try and remain flexible with your dates.

  1. Make frequent touchpoints

Every piece of external communication about your corporate party should be well thought through and personalized. This will truly take your event to the next level. You can try moving away from the stale e-vite and send creatively designed invitations. If you want to send a reminder, why not personalize the message and incentivize them to open it with a fun element, such as a quiz?

  1. Take security seriously

Security is very important for keeping unwanted intruders out. You can secure your event in a number of ways, such as with hired guards or an ID card system. With the latter, the cards can act as name tags too, which can be helpful when socializing and networking. Whichever option you choose, your security should not be too imposing but should be effective.

  1. Party follow up

Thanking your attendees for coming is an essential touch that your guests will appreciate. It also serves as a reminder of the event after the fact. If you want to throw more parties like this in the future, you could offer a short survey as part of the follow-up email on how you could improve next time. Feedback is the fuel of planning a good party, so this follow-up strategy can help to make your next event even better.

By following these tips, you can throw a fantastic corporate party that everyone enjoys, but the most important tip of all is to keep it fun.
