While you’ve spent the last year shuffling the kids to hockey games, helping solve their quadratic equations and giving the little ones their baths, you probably missed episodes – if not full seasons – of some great shows.

The fall season on tv is in full swing.

Did Olivia kick Fitz to the curb on Scandal? Who’s rocking the break room on Grey’s Anatomy? Just how long is Rick’s beard now on The Walking Dead?

Now’s the time to grab your boo and glass of wine (or just grab the wine!) and dust off your shelfies.

What’s a shelfie you ask? We all have them – they’re the shows you’ve been wanting to watch but they’ve been sitting on the virtual shelf because…well, because you’re a parent and who has the time?

My Shelfie List

1. Orange is the New Black – It took me longer to make it through the third season than it took me to binge watch seasons 1 and 2 over a weekend.

The series is based on Piper Kerman’s memoir, Orange Is the New Black: My Year in a Women’s Prison, about her experiences at FCI Danbury, a minimum-security federal prison. Chapman, who is engaged to Bloom, is sentenced to 15 months in prison for a crime committed 10 years earlier with Vause. She leaves behind her comfortable lifestyle and fiance.

2. Grey’s Anatomy – To be honest, I don’t think I’ve watched this show since the third season of Scandal started. There was just too much tv to watch on Thursday nights and I was drowning.

The medical drama series focuses on a group of doctors at a hospital in Seattle, including several who began their careers at the facility as interns. One of the doctors and the show’s namesake, Meredith Grey, is the daughter of a famous surgeon. She struggles to maintain relationships with her colleagues, particularly the hospital’s one-time chief of surgery, Richard Webber, due to a pre-existing relationship between them — Webber and Meredith’s mother had a personal relationship when Meredith was young.

3. Cedar Cove – I just started watching this show. I’ve made it through season 1 and started season 2 yesterday. The third season just wrapped on the Hallmark channel on September 26.

Based on author Debbie Macomber’s book series of the same name, Cedar Cove focuses on Municipal Court Judge Olivia Lockhart’s professional and personal life and the townsfolk surrounding her. It is the network’s first-ever original, scripted series
