Ultimate List of Awesome Waffle Bar Toppings

Wondering which waffle bar toppings would wow your guests and make your breakfast unforgettable? Look no further!

Does your family enjoy waffles? Whether they like ’em simply dressed with syrup like my kids or want create a crazy mashup of colors, textures, and flavors, I’ve got the ultimate list for you!

    1. Blackberry Lemonade – Mix lemon extract in the batter and top with blackberries.
    2. Strawberry Rhubarb – Try this recipe.
    3. Chicken – Top with seasoned, grilled, or fried (diced) chicken.
    4. Peaches – Sliced peaches.
    5. Apple Cinnamon – Fresh or fried apples sprinkled with cinnamon.
    6. Glazed Strawberries – You know the frozen ones in syrup? Yep. Warmed.
    7. Raspberry Peach – Fresh raspberries and peaches.
    8. Blueberry – Top with fresh blueberries.
    9. Chocolate Chip – Mix chocolate chips into the batter.
    10. Strawberry Banana – Sliced, fresh strawberries and bananas.
    11. New York Cheesecake – Mix cheesecake filling into the batter.
    12. Grain Nut – Top with granola and your favorite nut.
    13. Cinnamon Swirl Brioche – Mix vanilla extract into the batter and top with cinnamon roll filling and cream cheese icing.
    14. Red, White, and Blue – Top with a mixture of strawberry, blueberry, and whipped cream.



  1. Bananas Foster – Top with bananas and vanilla ice cream. (Optional: Make a sauce from butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, dark rum, and banana liqueur.)
  2. Bananas & Cream – Top with fresh, sliced bananas and fresh whipped cream.
  3. Berries & Cream – Top with fresh, sliced blue-,straw-, rasp-, or black-berries of your choice and fresh whipped cream.
  4. Bacon – Mix cooked bacon crumbles into the batter or top with chopped bacon.
  5. Sausage – Mix cooked sausage crumbles into the batter or top with crumbled sausage.
  6. Confetti – Mix confetti sprinkles into the batter.
  7. Egg & Sausage  – Make a sandwich, using the waffles as “bread” to sandwich the egg and sausage.
  8. Chocolate – Add about 3 tbsp of cocoa powder to the mix.
  9. Banana Nut – Top with fresh, sliced bananas and your favorite nut.
  10. Strawberry Shortcake – Top with a fresh sliced strawberries and whipped cream.
  11. Powdered Sugar – Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
  12. Peanut Butter & Jelly – Make a sandwich, using the waffles as “bread” to sandwich the peanut butter and jelly.
