working mom schedule

A working mom schedule might help you outline the tasks you need to complete within the time you have available and require you to make less decisions.

I recently wrote a post about my working mom evening routine. It outlines the tasks that are part of the routine I follow almost every evening.

I thought it might be helpful to also detail my schedule, how long the items take, etc.

working mom daily schedule

As a working mom, here’s my daily schedule:

Morning Routine

6:15 Wake up. Start your morning before the kids wake up. Make/drink coffee. Prayer / Bible reading.

6:30 Wake up kids. Kids dressed, medicine, wash face and brush teeth.

7 Kids grab backpacks and lunch bags.

7:07 Kids catch the school bus.

7:07-7:30 Bathroom prep / beauty routine / dressed

7:30-8 Commute to work.

Evening Routine

6 – Arrive home from after school sports, activities, and programs

6-6:30 – 15 minutes with each child, one on one (Other child preps for tomorrow)

6:30 – 7 Prepare dinner

(while dinner is cooking) Homework

7-7:30 Eat dinner as a family

7:30-8:45 Family time

Then kids go to bed or do their own thing, depending on age.

I leave a buffer here for cuddles, getting ready for bed, etc.

9-9:45 TV/relax

9:45-10:15 Project

10:15-10:30 Prep for tomorrow (including a QUICK shower)

10:30 Sleep

So glad I found you! I've been struggling to find blogs I can relate to as a fulltime working mom (outside of the home).

  • Hello. Great ideas to ensure important things are done and what things can wait.
Do you really have dinner and clean table in 30min?

  • This is super organized! Are you able to stick to it every day? I dream of being this routine-d but have never been great at routine...
